IR photo gate to delay timer.

Postby dbalfour » Tue Mar 06, 2012 3:46 pm

Hey there I am connecting a IR photo gate kit to a delay timer made on a breadboard.

The output of the IR photo gate is a PCB 3-way Terminal block with markings NO/OM/NC (left to right) and I am not quite sure of where to connect these wires to my delay timer kit.

Can someone give me any tips becuase whenever I search on google for PCB terminal blocks its only sales on them and nothing to do with how to use them or connect them.

The terminals are probably the output of a relay.

The centre contact should probably have said 'COM' - not 'OM', ie. the common terminal. NO would be the normally open contact and NC the normally closed contact
