I want to know what happens when we lift a pin of an IC from PCB

i have lifted output pin of an LDO IC, I want to know what will happen to the circuits which are driven by the output of the LDO IC

I have a LDO 5V tracker, it was giving me 2.6V output instead of 5V.
But when i lifted the outpin pin of the same LDO and checked the voltage at the PCB track, it was 5V

Did the circuit develop a fault? If so, what were the symptoms? What is the make and type of the LDO? What other measurements have you made? How is the tracking voltage set? Can you give the circuit details?

Without more detail, you might just as well ask how long is a piece of string!
